School IEE- Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)

Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) are available to conduct FBAs in your child's public school if you are considering an alternative opinion based in the principles of behavior science. We can make a difference in the school's approach to IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans.

If parents are concerned with their child’s behavior at school, then they should request that the school conduct an FBA. 

If the school conducts an FBA and parents disagree with the findings, then the parents are able to request an IEE to be conducted by an outside evaluator and professional (BCBA) at the expense of the school.

Request to work with Old Town ABA in Frederick County Public Schools, Winchester Public Schools, Loudoun County Public Schools, Warren County Public Schools, Clarke County Public Schools, or Fauquier County Public Schools. Request an Independent Education Evaluation, Functional Behavior Assessment.

Rachel Evans BCBA, LBA is primary contact for your IEE/FBA evaluation.

Our FBAs include:

• Parent and/or teacher interview (FAI) by BCBA
• Full FBA Evaluation and summary by BCBA
• Motivation Assessment Scale (MAS) or Functional Assessment Screening Tool (FAST), QABF
• 2-6 hours of observations
• Data analysis and summarized review
• Detailed behavioral report including recommendations for treatment
• School fee cap covers all costs associated with the IEE- free to families.
